INTERNATIONAL WATERCOLORS FESTIVAL AND CONTEST 2020

Dear artists,
‘Navegare Art Photo & Design’, organizers of the traditional International Meeting of
Aquarellists i n Paraty, have the honor and satisfaction to i nvite you to the SANTOS
AUTUMN SALON 2020 – FESTIVAL AND COMPETITION OF WATERCOLORS to be held
from 01 to 30 of April 2020 in the city of Santos-SP

CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION

Open to all artists from Brazil and abroad.

Theme: Free

ONLINE REGISTRATIONS

From October 15 to December 30, 2019.
ACCORDING TO THE REQUEST OF MANY ARTISTS, THE ORGANIZATION HAS DECIDED TO EXTEND REGISTRATIONS UNTIL FEBRUARY 29, 2020

For registration, the artist must send the i mages (300 dpi) of the works, together with proof
of payment of the fee, to the following email: aquarelas.santos@gmail.com

Entries should preferably have a size of 38 cm x 28 cm, but other sizes will be allowed
without exceeding 56 cm x 38 cm.

The organization does not allow the participation of copied paintings.
Each participant must send THREE works of art, being original and own, with price of each
one written in the back.

The works will be evaluated by a committee of three j udges, i nternationally known and
qualified artists.

Images sent to the j udging committee will have their signatures hidden by codes to prevent
their recognition.

SENDING PHYSICAL PAINTINGS

Artists should mail by February 15, 2020, their original work to:

Submission of artwork will be responsibility of the artist. Return by mail will be at the
organization’s expense.

For the exhibition i n the AUTUMN HALL will be selected ONE WORK, the two remaining
works will be part of batch of works that will be for sale i n the Gallery that will happen
throughout April / 20.

The sold works will have to comply with the commission value established by the event
organization, the predefined percentage is 20% of the total sale value of the work.

The organization will assemble the works that will participate in the exhibition i n the Salon
with paspartour and frame, and will also produce the catalog with the works that i ntegrate
the sample.

The works i ntended for sale i n the Gallery will be exhibited without frames, but protected
(with plastic) safely for their handling and appreciation.

After the exhibition deadline (April / 20), the organization will return the remaining works by
mail to the address informed in the registration form, with the tracking code information.

AWARDS

THE AUTUMN HALL will award the THREE works selected by the j ury committee, these
works will receive the following awards WITHOUT ACQUISITION by the organization

FIRST PRIZE: R$ 3.000.00
SECOND PRIZE: R$ 2.000.00
THIRD PRIZE: R$ 1.000.00

PROGRAMMING:

Contestants may participate during the four weekends of April / 20 In activities such as
Workshops, Plein air, lectures and cultural activities.
People who do not participate i n the contest, but who are i nterested i n these activities
(workshops, plein air, l ectures, etc.) During the four weekends of April / 20, will be i nformed
from March / 20 of the detailed schedule of each module.

Participation fee R$ 300.00 (three hundred reais) for each module (Saturday and
Sunday).

MODULES:

1- Saturday 4th and Sunday April 5th.
2- Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th April.
3- Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th April.
4- Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th April.

FINAL CONSIDERATIONS

The event organizers reserve the right to make adjustments and modifications to these
rules as they deem necessary.

In the event of ties and / or disputes, the organization reserves the right to i ntervene as
well as the right of final decision.

The artists authorize the use of the images for advertising and / or publicity of the event.

PARTICIPATION RATES

R$ 700,00 (Seven hundred Reais, until 31/11/2019) – In the amount is included the
return of works, along with two catalog of the show (more copies of the catalog will be
for sale). – After 11/31 the amount will be R$ 750,00 (Seven hundred and fifty reais)
